  • For twelve years, Seton was a journalist at the Berkshire Eagle of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where she wrote a column on modern motherhood called "Skirting the Issue." Her column was also printed in The Washington Post from 1959 to 1960.
  • In all, Seton published five novels and three essay collections.
